Are all interpretations of the Bible equally valid? Sometimes a particular passage of the Bible is difficult to understand and different interpretations of that passage can be rationally defensible. In these situations, it can be hard to know which interpretation is correct.
However, in other situations, careful study reveals that one interpretation clearly matches with the author’s intent. And sometimes, in these situations, certain people do not want to accept the correct interpretation. These same people may try to justify themselves by telling others, “That’s just your interpretation!” The implication being that every view is equally valid. But this is not correct. Written texts, whether they are found in the Bible or some other document, have interpretations that are wrong. And in such situations, people need to stop justifying their twisted interpretation and accept what the Holy Spirit is stating through the human author.
